Our take
I chose the Samsung Odyssey G7 28-inch for its 4K resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. The 28-inch size gives a bit more screen real estate than typical 27-inch monitors. The IPS panel has good colors and viewing angles. G-Sync works without problems. However, the 350 cd/m² brightness is only average, and HDR performance is limited. The stand is functional but could be more adjustable. For $425, it's a decent value for 4K gaming, but you might find better options with HDMI 2.1.
